Pod of Gold: Previewing Notre Dame-Syracuse with Mike Tirico

Not many people expected Notre Dame's Shamrock Series matchup with Syracuse (8-2) at Yankee Stadium would be one of the biggest games of the season for the Irish (10-0).

That includes NBC play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico, a Syracuse grad.

The week on the "Pod of Gold" podcast, Mike joined Tyler James and Eric Hansen to discuss his job calling Irish games, Notre Dame's season and what to expect from the No. 12 Orange on Saturday (:37).
