Pod of Gold: Braxston Cave on Notre Dame's offensive line play and Tommy Rees
It’s been a busy week since Notre Dame’s 33-9 Camping World Bowl victory over Iowa State. Notre Dame news included NFL Draft declarations, returning for another season announcements, a grad transfer at wide receiver and another change in the coaching staff.
There’s so much news to cover, that Tyler James and Eric Hansen decided they couldn’t let the week end without recording a podcast. To help get into some of the relevant topics, they invited on former Notre Dame center Braxston Cave, who played for the Irish from 2008-2012.
Cave joined the podcast to discuss Notre Dame's Camping World Bowl victory, how the offensive line fared for the Irish this past season, the importance of a good offensive line coach, quarterbacks coach Tommy Rees' rise to a potential offensive coordinator and more (1:40).
Then Tyler James and Eric Hansen made offseason predictions in the Place Your Bets segment (22:02) before answering questions from Twitter (28:10).
