Notre Dame’s coaching staff used the bye week to reach out to more recruits in the 2016 class. Many of the assistant coaches used the latter half of the week to hit the road and visit prospects in their regional recruiting areas.

The Irish have now extended more than 50 offers in the class to date. Here’s a rundown of prospects reporting new offers:

WR Trevon Sidney, 5-11, 160; La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat: The four-star prospect reported an offer from Notre Dame on Tuesday. The Irish joined Arizona, Miami, UCLA, USC and Washington on Sidney’s offer list.

Rivals ranks Sidney as the No. 3 athlete in the 2016 class and No. 30 regardless of position. 247Sports slates him as the No. 17 wide receiver and No. 89 overall. Sidney plays at the same program as former Irish linebacker Kory Minor.

CB Kristian Fulton, 6-0, 170; Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel: The four-star prospect reported an offer from Notre Dame on Thursday. Fulton’s double-digit offer list includes LSU, Georgia, Texas A&M and UCLA.

247Sports slates Fulton as the No. 2 cornerback in the 2016 class and No. 30 regardless of position. Rivals ranks him as the No. 5 cornerback and No. 99 overall. Fulton is currently sidelined recovering from an offseason shoulder surgery.

WR Tavares Chase, 6-2, 173; Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy: The four-star prospect reported an offer from Notre Dame on Thursday. Chase holds offers from more than 20 schools including Auburn, Florida, Florida State and Ohio State.

Rivals ranks him as the No. 12 wide receiver in the 2016 class and No. 74 regardless of position. 247Sports slates him as the No. 31 wide receiver and No. 152 overall. Chase catches passes from 2015 Florida State quarterback commit Deondre Francois, a missed Notre Dame target.

WR Ahmir Mitchell, 6-2, 197; Egg Harbor City (N.J.) Cedar Creek: The four-star prospect reported an offer from Notre Dame on Thursday. Mitchell already holds offers from Florida State, Michigan, Pittsburgh and Rutgers, among others.

Rivals ranks Mitchell as the No. 14 wide receiver in the 2016 class and No. 80 regardless of position. 247Sports slates him as the No. 8 athlete and No. 137 overall. Mitchell caught touchdown passes of 29 and 84 yards in his season opener earlier this month.

DE Jonathon Cooper, 6-3, 218; Gahanna (Ohio) Lincoln: The Ohio product received an offer from Notre Dame on Thursday, according to Scout and other reports. The Irish joined Ohio State, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana and Toledo on Cooper’s offer list.

247Sports slate Cooper as a four-star prospect, the No. 13 weakside defensive end and No. 168 regardless of position. Rivals rates him as a three-star prospect and the No. 15 weakside defensive end. Scout reported Cooper will visit Notre Dame for the Stanford game in October.

WR Binjimen Victor, 6-4, 170; Coconut Creek (Fla.) High: The four-star prospect reported an offer from Notre Dame on Saturday. The Irish joined an offer list of nearly 30 schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Ohio State.

247Sports slates Victor as the No. 14 wide receiver and No. 74 regardless of position. Rivals ranks him as the No. 20 wide receiver and No. 115 overall. Victor teams with 2016 Irish cornerback target Trayvon Mullen.
