LB Jamir Jones | Rochester (N.Y.) Aquinas Institute 17, Liverpool 16: Jones made an impact on both sides of the ball as Aquinas held onto a victory with a blocked extra point. Jones caught seven passes for 121 yards and one touchdown on offense. He recorded 15 tackles and two tackles for a loss on defense. Aquinas (12-0) will take on Saratoga Springs (11-0) Sunday in the NYSPHSAA Class AA state final.
OL Parker Boudreaux | Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore Catholic 49, Merritt Island 28: Boudreaux helped pave the way for more than 400 yards for the Bishop Moore offense. Three Hornets rushed for 263 yards and four touchdowns. Bishop Moore (11-1) will face Hallandale (10-2) Friday in the FHSAA Class 5A regional final.
S D.J. Morgan | Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco 52, Loyola 14: Morgan and St. John Bosco continue to dominate opponents. While the offense was rolling, the Braves allowed just two touchdowns in the third quarter. St. John Bosco (12-0) will match-up with Bishop Amat (10-2) Friday in the CIF Southern Section Pac 5 Division semifinals.
LS John Shannon | Wilmette (Ill.) Loyola 24, Palatine 22: Loyola survived, but a couple of errant punt snaps from Shannon put the Ramblers in tough spots. Palatine scored a touchdown and a safety on the botched snaps. Loyola (13-0) will meet Marist (9-4) Saturday in the IHSA Class 8A state final.
CB Donte Vaughn | Memphis (Tenn.) Whitehaven 53, Wilson Central 16: Vaughn and the Whitehaven defense kept Wilson Central’s offense in check in a runaway victory. The Tigers (12-1) advance to play Ravenwood (12-1) Friday in the TSSAA Class 6A semifinals.
DB Jalen Elliott | Chesterfield (Va.) L.C. Bird 12, Hermitage 21: A perfect season came to a screeching halt for Elliott. Hermitage opened up a 21-6 halftime lead against an L.C. His senior season with the Skyhawks (11-1) ended in the second round of VHSL Group 5A playoffs.
OL Tommy Kraemer | Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder 11, Colerain 41: Kraemer and the Elder offense could only muster one touchdown against Colerain in a lopsided loss. The Panthers (9-4) finished Kraemer’s senior season in the OHSAA Division I Region 2 semifinals.
DE Julian Okwara | Charlotte (N.C.) Ardrey Kell 7, Hough 34: Okwara totaled three tackles for a loss and one sack, but the Ardrey Kell defense couldn’t slow down the Hough rushing attack.
