Tracking the trail: Notre Dame's weekend recruiting trips 1-15
A pair of Notre Dame commits in Florida received visits from head coach Brian Kelly on Saturday. Running backs coach Autry Denson, the lead Irish recruiter in Florida, joined Kelly for the in-home visits.
First Kelly and Denson met with defensive end commit Jonathon MacCollister in Orlando.

Then the two Irish coaches headed down to Boca Raton to visit with linebacker Drew White.

Darnell Ewell, arguably the most important defensive commit in Notre Dame's class, hosted defensive coordinator Mike Elko and defensive line coach Mike Elston on Saturday. Ewell told ND Insider that he was "pretty much good" with his Notre Dame commitment on Thursday night, but a meeting with Elko and Elston was important as his primary recruiting contacts at Notre Dame — Keith Gilmore and Scott Booker — are no longer on staff.
Reports of visits were quiet on Sunday. But the Irish made news with in-state wide receiver Mac Hippenhammer reporting a Notre Dame offer. Hippenhammer, a Penn State commit, posted an edited image on his Instagram on Sunday which showed Notre Dame Stadium in the background behind him. His caption read: "Reality is wrong...Dreams are For real #LordKnows." Hippenhammer, who has visited Notre Dame several times in the past, will be worth monitoring for a potential flip in the coming weeks.
