Half ain't bad.

Rivals released its updated top 250 players in the 2018 recruiting class on Tuesday, and eight of Notre Dame's 16 verbal commits were represented.

The leader in the Irish clubhouse was 6-foot-4, 207-pound linebacker Jack Lamb, who landed at No. 65 overall. Lamb was followed by wide receiver Kevin Austin (69), quarterback Phil Jurkovec (80), safety Derrik Allen (82), linebacker Bo Bauer (132), rover Shayne Simon (141), wide receiver Micah Jones (172) and running back Markese Stepp (231). All eight players were ranked as four-star prospects.

Some of Notre Dame's top remaining targets were also listed, including wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (4), offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer (10), wide receiver Chase Cota (113), offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere (175), defensive end Jayson Oweh (179), offensive lineman Sam Taimani (211) and defensive lineman Thomas Booker (212).

Former Notre Dame cornerback commit Kalon Gervin landed at No. 106.

As for team rankings, Rivals currently designates Notre Dame's 2018 class as the ninth-best nationwide. However, none of the eight teams ahead of the Irish have fewer commitments, and only Ohio State (No. 3) matches Notre Dame's 16.
