247Sports ranking: Four stars, No. 8 TE.
Notable offers: Oregon (committed since April), Florida State, UCLA, California and Colorado.
Notre Dame connection: Quarterback Ian Book, who led the Irish to a Citrus Bowl win on Monday, is the last recruit from the Sacramento area to sign with Notre Dame.
More notes: With Notre Dame already signing two tight ends in the 2018 class, the Irish might be looking at Webb as a defensive end. But on Tuesday, Webb said he believed the Irish coaching staff likes him at tight end. Recruiting coordinator Brian Polian extended the offer, and defensive line coach Mike Elston also retweeted Webb’s offer announcement. Webb said he just returned home from a family vacation in Hawaii and plans to sit down with his family to discuss whether a visit to Notre Dame will happen.
