Offer Report: 2019 RB Sampson James

An in-state running back reported a Notre Dame offer Saturday following a campus visit for junior day. ND Insider takes a closer look at 2019 recruit Sampson James.

Junior stats: 243 carries for 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns; 16 catches for 185 yards and two touchdowns; seven two-point conversions.

Rivals ranking: Four stars, No. 7 running back.

247Sports ranking: Three stars, No. 22 running back.

Notable offers: Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Purdue and Indiana.

Notre Dame connection: Before visiting for Saturday’s junior day, James was on Notre Dame’s campus for the Irish Invasion last June and the Temple game in September.
