A 2019 defensive end from Texas reported a Notre Dame offer Tuesday. ND Insider takes a closer look at Colt Ellison.

Junior stats: 96 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, 13.5 sacks, seven passes defended, two recovered fumbles, two forced fumbles and one interception returned for a touchdown.

247Sports ranking: Three stars, No. 29 weakside defensive end.

Rivals ranking: Three stars, No. 39 strongside defensive end.

Notable offers: Penn State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and Arkansas.

Notre Dame connection: Ellison attended Notre Dame’s win over USC in October.
