Andrew Kristofic didn’t wait long to make a return visit to Notre Dame.

The three-star offensive lineman followed up an official visit with the Irish on March 27 with another visit on Monday.

Kristofic has become one of the top targets in the 2019 class for Notre Dame offensive line coach Jeff Quinn. Former offensive line coach Harry Hiestand extended an offer to Kristofic in December, and Quinn has continued the pursuit.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pound Kristofic has spent the start of his career at Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland protecting Notre Dame quarterback signee Phil Jurkovec. The two also played basketball together for the Rams.

Following Jurkovec to Notre Dame would seem like a natural destination, but the Irish are facing steep competition for the junior recruit. Kristofic made visits to Clemson and Ohio State earlier in April. Both schools, as well as Georgia, Michigan, Pittsburgh and more, have also offered him.

Recruiting services haven’t matched the quality of Kristofic’s offer list with their rankings. 247Sports slates Kristofic as the No. 37 offensive tackle in the 2019 class. Rivals pegs him No. 55 at the position.

Notre Dame received its first verbal commitment from an offensive lineman in the 2019 class on Friday when four-star recruit John Olmstead shared his pledge to the Irish. Four-star offensive lineman Quinn Carroll also made an official visit to Notre Dame over the weekend. If Quinn managed to secure commitments from all three lineman, it would be quite the start to his first full recruiting cycle at Notre Dame.

Eye on CB

In addition to the previously reported recruits visiting Notre Dame over the weekend, a pair of 2019 cornerback targets made their way to campus.

Woodi Washington, a 6-0, 175-pound product of Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Oakland, visited Notre Dame on Friday and Saturday. He received an Irish offer in January.

Rivals ranks Washington as a four-star recruit and the No. 6 cornerback in the 2019 class. 247Sports slates him as a three-star recruit and the No. 30 cornerback.

Washington’s offer list includes the likes of Ohio State, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama and Florida State.

DJ Turner II, a 5-11, 170-pound junior at Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett, visited Notre Dame on Sunday. Turner spent the previous day visiting Michigan.

Earlier this month, Turner included Notre Dame and Michigan in his top 11 alongside Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Stanford, Clemson, Penn State, Oklahoma, LSU and Florida. The Irish extended an offer to the three-star recruit last May.

247Sports slates Turner as the No. 37 cornerback in the class. Rivals ranks him No. 43.

Wedig offer

One visitor at Saturday’s Blue-Gold Game left campus with a new offer from Notre Dame. Trey Wedig, a 2020 offensive line recruit, added the Irish to an offer list that already includes Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa State and Syracuse.

The 6-6, 283-pound sophomore at Wales (Wisc.) Kettle Moraine has been rated as a four-star recruit. 247Sports pegs Wedig as the No. 22 offensive tackle in the 2020 class. 574-235-6214 Twitter: @TJamesNDI
