Moment I knew I wanted to be Irish: “I’ve been a Notre Dame fan my whole life, but I knew after I got an invite as a freshman to a camp.”

What I’ve learned from the COVID-19 pandemic: “Faith and family helped me get through it all with football being up in the air for most of the season and a lot of things closing and shutting down. Being around your family more, working on your faith and religion was really an eye-opening experience for me these past several months that we’ve been quarantined. Being around my family and really soaking in the time I have with them until I move onto the next chapter of my life.”

One word to describe Brian Kelly: Passionate.

Best player I’ve played against: Georgia quarterback commit Brock Vandagriff (2021 class).

NFL player comparison: Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool. “Big-bodied receiver, deceptively fast, go up and get the ball. I think Chase and I are pretty similar.”

Freshman year expectations: “To go in and compete, work hard and do what I can do to help the team out. And if that involves me getting playing time and getting on the field early, then I’m looking forward to that.”

Favorite thing about football: “The competitiveness. I’m a competitor. I like to compete in everything I do. Football adds the team aspect to it to another level. I like the competition of going up against the best guys in the country or your rival. It gives you a lot of adrenaline.”

What’s your best sport other than football? “Basketball. If I stopped playing football and starting focusing on basketball, I probably would have gone somewhere for basketball.”
