Moment I knew I wanted to be Irish: “I think it was my sixth visit. I was with all the other receiver recruits: Xavier Watts, Deion (Colzie) and Jordan (Johnson). And I was like, ‘I think we can really make something happen with these guys.’ So I committed probably an hour or two hours later when talking to coach Kelly afterwards.”
What I’ve learned from the COVID-19 pandemic: “Don’t take people for granted. Really not taking anything for granted.”
One word to describe Brian Kelly: “Winner. People don’t really talk about coach Kelly and how good of a coach he is.”
Best player I’ve played against: Ohio State linebacker commit Jack Sawyer (2021 class).
Most interesting fact about myself: “I’m really diverse with my friend groups and stuff that I like to do. I like fishing. I like to play chess. I’m really smart for my grade so I’m cool with (the smart) crowd. But I can also hang out with the football crowd.”
Most embarrassing song on my playlist: “I don’t really have an embarrassing song, but the embarrassing artist I like listening from time to time is Megan Thee Stallion.”
Most controversial opinion: “You need to pour your milk in before you pour the cereal in.”
Dream job (other than the NFL): Real estate agent.
NFL player comparison: “I wouldn’t say NFL, but I’ve been watching Devonta Smith from Alabama. I feel like that would be the comparison if I’m looking at college-wise someone with my skill set and my build.”
Freshman year expectations: “I don’t really know what to expect. I’m just excited to put in some work and hope that I can make an impact for the guys.”
Favorite thing about football: “Being around your brothers. Your relationships are so strong, because you are going with hell with each other. You are going through camp together. You are going to work outs. You are going through staying up until 2 a.m. doing papers and then going to practice at 6.”
What’s your best sport other than football? Track.
Sports idol: “I really don’t have one.”
