Three things to know about OU vs. Notre Dame

► OU and Notre Dame have met in the NCAA Tournament three times. In the second round in 2008, the No. 5 seed Fighting Irish knocked off the No. 4 Sooners 79-75 in OT. In 2010, No. 3 OU beat No. 2 Notre Dame 77-72 in OT in the Sweet 16. In 2011, the No. 2 seed Fighting Irish knocked off the No. 6 Sooners 78-53.

► In Saturday’s 89-78 win over UMass, Notre Dame freshman Olivia Miles recorded the 18th triple-double in women’s NCAA Tournament history. Miles had 12 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists for her second triple-double of the season.

► Notre Dame assistant coach Coquese Washington was a Sooners assistant under Sherri Coale during the 2019-20 season. Washington, a Notre Dame alum, was a longtime assistant under Muffet McGraw, helping coach current Irish coach Niele Ivey to the program’s first national championship in 2001.
