Notre Dame football: Irish, Purdue to play in Indy?

A possible Shamrock Series football game between Purdue and Notre Dame, that has been percolating for weeks, may finally be moving toward reality.

The game would be played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis next season, the sixth of ND's annual off-site home games. This year's matchup versus Arizona State was played in Arlington, Texas.

"We're working on it. I think we're close," Purdue athletic director Morgan Burke told goldandblack.com on Friday.
