Notre Dame’s rugby match Saturday against the University of Arizona will benefit the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation and the ND College of Science.

The public is invited to attend the match at Stinson Rugby Field on the ND campus. Start time is 7 p.m.

While admission is free, the event will raise money for Niemann-Pick Type C disease. An anonymous donor has pledged to give $25 for each person to attends up to $25,000 toward NPC research.

NPC is a rare disease that causes cholesterol accumulation in the body’s cells and leads to fatal neurodegenerative problems. Former Irish head football coach Ara Parseghian lost three of his grandchildren to NPC.
