Ex-ND player Mahone draws 10-day sentence in Ohio incident

Former Notre Dame football player Will Mahone, who played two seasons for the team but is no longer enrolled in school, has been sentenced to 10 days in Mahoning (Ohio) County jail as a result of a June incident in Ohio, according to the Youngstown (Ohio) Vindicator.

Mahone plead guilty to four misdemeanor counts, which include resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, assault and aggravated menacing. He had been charged with three felonies but those were dropped down to the misdemeanors he plead to on Wednesday, according to the paper. The paper also reported that Mahone has been attending a rehab center for alcohol use.
