8 p.m. kickoff set for Notre Dame-Syracuse game

Notre Dame's Sept. 27 game against Syracuse at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., will kick off at 8 p.m. (Eastern) and air on ABC-TV, ND officials announced Monday.
The game will be the third of at least four primetime games on the Irish schedule. The Irish played primetime games against Michigan on Sept. 6 and Purdue last Saturday. ND will face Navy at Landover, Md., on Nov. 1 with kickoff set for 8 p.m. (Eastern) in that contest. Kickoff times for three more ND games -- at Florida State on Oct. 18, at Arizona State on Nov. 8 and at USC on Nov. 29 -- have not yet been announced.
The 3-0 and ninth-ranked Irish are off this week before facing the Orange next Saturday.
