Notre Dame will play Texas A&M in 2024 and '25
Notre Dame and Texas A&M have agreed to a two-year, home-and-home football series beginning in 2024, ND announced in a press release Thursday afternoon.
The Irish and Aggies will play Aug. 31, 2024 in College Station, Texas and Sept. 27, 2025 at Notre Dame Stadium. The 2024 meeting will mark the first regular-season meeting between the schools since 2001.
“These two contests between Notre Dame and Texas A&M figure to be excellent intersectional attractions,” ND athletic director Jack Swarbrick said in a statement. “We had set a goal of adding representation from the Southeastern Conference to our future schedules, and we’ve accomplished that with the addition of this series, as well as the one with Georgia.”
The Irish lead the all-time series 3-2. The teams have played three times in Dallas in the Cotton Bowl, following the 1987, 1992 and 1993 seasons.
The ND-Texas A&M series is the latest series ND has recently added. Others include home-and-home series against Georgia (2017 and 2019) and Ohio State (2022 and 2023).
