Notre Dame football vs. Stanford weekend events

Here’s a list of events and activities on the University of Notre Dame campus and in the community today and Saturday that are related to the Stanford-Notre Dame football game at 3:30 p.m. Saturday:

Today

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. — Notre Dame Stadium north tunnel tour. Free and open to the public. Go to the north side of the stadium for admittance to walk down the tunnel and view the playing field.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.   Football Fridays at the Eck Visitors Center, near Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. Food, football highlights, performances by Notre Dame cheerleaders and musical groups.

10 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m.  —  Campus tours, meet at Eck Visitors Center.

4 p.m.  — Trumpets Under the Dome: Notre Dame Marching Band trumpet section performs in rotunda of the Main Building.

5 p.m.    Glee Club open rehearsal, LaFortune Student Center Ballroom.

6 p.m.    Pep rally, Compton Family Ice Arena.

6:30 p.m.   Notre Dame Preview Night at Knights of Columbus Council No. 553, 553 E. Washington St. Featured speakers at 8 p.m. are WLS radio team of Chet Coppock and “Hollywood” Del Yates Jr. Coppock will sign copies of his autobiography. Admission free to members, adults $2, children 14 and younger free.

7 p.m.   Volleyball: Notre Dame vs. Syracuse, Purcell Pavilion.

7 p.m.   Men’s soccer: Notre Dame vs. Boston College, Alumni Field.

Saturday

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  — LaBar Practice Field open house, the public may visit the Notre Dame football team practice field, just south of Guglielmino Athletics Complex.

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.   The Notre Dame Experience, North Dome, Joyce Center. Free. Interactive football games, entertainment, autograph sessions.

11:30 a.m.  — Bagpipe Band concert, front steps of Main Building.

12:40 p.m. — Notre Dame Glee Club concert, near Hesburgh Library Reflecting Pool.

1:15 p.m.  —  Player walk from Guglielmino Complex through Hesburgh Library Quad to Notre Dame Stadium.

2 p.m.  —  Notre Dame Marching Band concert, steps of Bond Hall.

2:30 p.m.  — Trumpets Under the Dome, inside Main Building.

2:40 p.m.   Marching Band marches from Main Building to Notre Dame Stadium.

3:30 p.m.  — Football, Notre Dame vs. Stanford, Notre Dame Stadium.

8 p.m.  —  Post-game Masses will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Basilica and DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, starting about 30 minutes after the football game ends.
