Note Dame moved up a spot to No. 5 in this week's Associated Press football poll, while Florida State, Saturday's opponent, dropped to No. 2.

The Irish remained at No. 5 in the Amway Coaches poll released Sunday. FSU also dropped to No. 2 in that poll.

The Seminoles moved down following a 38-20 win at Syracuse. Notre Dame registered a 50-43 home victory over North Carolina. Mississippi State jumped past FSU into the top spot following a 38-23 win over Auburn.

Mississippi is ranked No. 3 in the AP poll followed by Baylor and ND. Auburn, Alabama, Michigan State, Oregon and Georgia round out the top 10.

The top five in the Coaches poll is the same as the AP poll. Notre Dame is followed by Michigan State, Alabama, Auburn, Oregon and Georgia in the Coaches poll.

The teams play Saturday night at 8 (Eastern) on ABC. Brian Kelly's Irish and Jimbo Fisher's Seminoles are both 6-0.

Kelly said Sunday on his weekly postgame teleconference that safety Austin Collinsworth is expected to miss the Florida State game because of a dislocated shoulder he suffered in the North Carolina game.

The fifth-year senior was undergoing an MRI on Sunday and Kelly did not yet know the severity. Kelly said after learning the results, options could include surgery or wearing a harness.

"Hopefully we'll get those results today and put a plan together," Kelly said.
