Notre Dame-Syracuse game at Meadowlands gets noon EDT kickoff

Notre Dame’s Oct. 1 neutral site football game against Syracuse at East Rutherford, N.J., was assigned a time slot Monday, and far from prime time.
The two teams will kick off in what is technically a home game for the Orange, at noon EDT in MetLife Stadium. The game will be televised by ABC, ESPN or ESPN2 — to be determined after games of Sept. 24.
Tickets start at $50 and are available online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000, and at Ticketmaster Retail Outlets.
Notre Dame (1-2) hosts Duke this Saturday (1-2), while Syracuse (1-2) visits Connecticut (2-1), coached by former Irish defensive coordinator Bob Diaco.
