EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – DeShone Kizer flirted with Notre Dame’s all-time passing record, the Irish offense started on a dead-sprint, and the re-vamped defense found its stride in the second half.

The two teams combined for 727 yards of total offense before the break as the Irish led Syracuse, 33-27.
