Former Notre Dame WR Miles Boykin wows in NFL Combine workout
Notre Dame’s locker room erupted when Miles Boykin clocked a 40-yard dash of 4.42 seconds at the NFL Combine on Saturday.
Wide receiver Chase Claypool shared video of Boykin’s former teammates celebrating the sprint of the team’s leading receiver last season. But Boykin’s day at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis went so well, the 40-yard dash wasn’t even one of his top four events when compared with other wide receiver prospects.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Boykin finished among the top three wide receivers in the three-cone drill, vertical jump, broad jump and 20-yard shuttle. Boykin’s 40 time slated him in a tie for ninth among the 37 wide receivers to run on Saturday.
“Boykin opened a lot of eyes in Indy with explosive testing that dramatically exceeded expectations,” said Scott Wright of draftcountdown.com. “As a result, teams will be going back to the tape for another look. I wouldn’t be surprised if Boykin now comes off the board early on day three.”
The third day of the NFL Draft, set for April 25-27, includes rounds four through seven.
Below are the complete results for Boykin and former Irish tight end Alizé Mack (6-4, 249), who also fared well compared to his peers.
