Three Notre Dame football 'home' games slated for prime time in 2020
NBC will televise three Notre Dame football games in prime time in the 2020 season: two home games at Notre Dame Stadium against Stanford and Clemson and the Shamrock Series matchup against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc. All three games will start at 7:30 p.m. ET.
NBC Sports announced Friday the start times for all seven Notre Dame football games it will air this season. All seven will be televised on NBC.
Notre Dame’s first two home games against Arkansas (Sept. 12) and Western Michigan (Sept. 19) will kick off at 2:30 p.m. EDT. The home finale against Louisville (Nov. 21) will also start at 2:30 p.m. EST.
Notre Dame’s prime-time matchups with Wisconsin (Oct. 3) and Stanford (Oct. 10) will come in consecutive weeks. Clemson, which has a 69-4 record the last five seasons including two national championships, will visit for its night game on Nov. 7.
Notre Dame’s Oct. 31 meeting with Duke is the only home game slated for a 3:30 p.m. EDT kickoff.
In 2019, Notre Dame only hosted one night game against USC, which resulted in 30-27 Irish victory. The Irish finished 2-2 in night games on the road with losses at Georgia and Michigan and wins at Louisville and Duke.
