The more Notre Dame’s league schedules change, the more they remain the same.

The ACC released its repeat/home/road schedules for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons late last week and Notre Dame’s permanent repeat opponents remain Boston College and Georgia Tech. There had been talk when Louisville joined in 2014 that the conference would shake up its designated "permanent" repeat teams for the 15-member league.

Boston College and Georgia Tech have been Notre Dame’s repeat opponents since the Irish joined in 2013. Notre Dame is a combined 10-1 against those schools heading into Saturday’s game at Georgia Tech.

Following is how the Irish league schedule breaks down for the next two years:

2016-17

Home and away: Boston College, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Louisville.

Home only: Clemson, Duke, Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest.

Away only: Miami (Fla.), North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech.

2017-18

Home and away: Boston College, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State.

Home only: Florida State, Louisville, Miami, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech.

Away only: Clemson, Duke, Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest.
