Notre Dame golf: Irish men in fourth

Notre Dame’s men’s team is in fourth place after day two of the three-round Big East Championship Monday, on the Watson Course at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Freshman Cory Sciupider fired his second straight 72 to tie for sixth at even par (72-72-144). Paul McNamara III also is tied for sixth after a 74. Junior Niall followed a 1-under 71 with a 74 (+2) to tied for 12th place.

USF vaulted into the team lead with a second round score of 287 (-1). The Bulls (290-287-577) lead Louisville by two. St. John’s (298-283-581), Notre Dame (288-296-584) and Connecticut (294-295-589) round out the top five.
