Pro hockey: Hawks camp may be open
Practices for the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks’ training camp at Notre Dame’s Compton Family Ice Arena are expected to be open to the public, according to Notre Dame officials. The times for the open practices will be announced at a later date, as well as whether or not they will be free for the public.
The Blackhawks will train at Notre Dame on Sept. 12-15. The club will return to Chicago for their annual training camp festival at the United Center. Tickets for the training camp festival in Chicago are $5 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
Chicago opens the 2013-24 NHL regular season on Oct. 1 at home against the Washington Capitals.
