Notre Dame soccer: Irish derail Duke

Patrick Hodan scored unassisted in the 88th minute to snap a 1-all tie and lift Notre Dame to a 3-1 win over Duke Friday night in South Bend.
Harrison Shipp added an insurance goal a minute later on a penalty kick. Max Lachowecki opened the game's scoring with a goal in the 46th minute on an assist from Luke Mishu.
The Irish (4-0-3, 2-0-2 ACC) outshot Duke (4-3-2, 0-3-1 ACC) 17-6 and held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
