Notre Dame men's golf: Platt leads Irish in Bloomington

Senior Nial Platt carded a 2-under 70 to finish 7-over and 15th overall and help Notre Dame to an eighth-place finish at the Indiana University Crooked Stick Intercollegiate at the Crooked Stick Golf Club on Tuesday in Carmel, Ind.

The Irish finished the three-day tournament with a 912.

Arkansas won the tournament with an 875, five shots better than runner-up Purdue. Razorback Sebastian Cappelan was the tournament medalist a 4-under-par.

Tyler Wingo shot a 3-over 75 on the final day and finished in 39th place overall with a 231. Cory Sciupider turned in a 79 in the last round and finished in 29th place with a 229.
