Notre Dame men's golf: Irish earn second place
Notre Dame’s men’s golf team shot its best team score of the season, a 4-under-par 280, to earn a runner-up finish at the Georgetown Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Members Club at Four Streams in Bealsville, Md.
Notre Dame went 297-292-280 for an 869 total. Alabama Birmingham won with a tourney record 5-under 847.
Senior tri-captain Niall Platt carded his second-lowest career round on day three, with a 4-under-par 67 to tie for fourth at 212 (74-71-67, -1).
