Notre Dame volleyball: Irish dig out of hole, beat Pitt

The Notre Dame volleyball team overcame an early deficit to defeat Pittsburgh, 13-25, 25-22, 17-25, 25-22, 15-9, at Purcell Pavilion.
Several strong performances carried the Irish (10-13, 4-8 ACC), including a team-high 15 kills from Toni Alugbue, 12 kills and a team-high four blocks from Nicole Smith and 10 kills from Jeni Houser. Maggie Brindock recorded 44 assists and 11 digs, while Andrea McHugh had a team-best 17 digs.
