Notre Dame men's soccer: Irish knock out Duke

Patrick Hodan scored a goal on assists from Connor Klekota and Harrison Schipp to push top-ranked Notre Dame to a 1-0 win over Duke in quarterfinal action in the ACC Tournament Tuesday in South Bend.

The Irish (12-1-5) advance to a conference semifinal matchup with No. 12 Virginia on Friday in Germantown, Md. The Cavaliers handed the Irish their only loss of the season — a 2-0 defeat on Oct. 26.

Notre Dame outshot the Blue Devils (8-5-6) 16-3 and held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
