Notre Dame volleyball: Irish fall, 3-0

The Notre Dame volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision (25-13, 25-21, 25-21) to No. 22 Florida State (20-7, 13-3 ACC) in front of 1,150 fans at Tully Gym Sunday in Tallahassee.

Notre Dame fell to 11-16 (5-11 ACC) after hitting just .163, with nine service errors and only four blocks.

ND’s Nicole Smith tallied nine kills and hit .364, while junior Meg Vonderhaar had eight kills and hit .333 for the Irish.

Notre Dame hosts Virginia Tech Wednesday at 7 p.m. before playing host to Virginia at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
