Notre Dame swimming: Irish women fare well
Emma Reaney won three events to help Notre Dame to wins over Rutgers (206-94) and Northwestern (160-140) Saturday in a four-team meet in Evanston, Ill.
The Irish dropped a 168-132 dual to Michigan.
Reaney posted a 1:00.77 to capture the 100 breaststroke, a 2:14.09 to win the 200 breast and turned in a 54.92 in the 100 butterfly for the victory.
Adding individual wins for the Irish were Bridget Casey (2:01.85 in the 200 fly), Allison Casareto (271.15 in the 1-meter diving) and Kelly Ryan (23.69 in the 50 freestyle).
The Irish 400 freestyle relay team (Ryan, Reaney, Catherine Mulquin, Catherine Galletti) picked up a win in a time of 3:25.15.
