Danielle Aragon won the women's 1,000-meter run and Molly Seidel's strong runner-up finish in the women's 5,000 highlighted Notre Dame's first day at the 27th annual Meyo Invitational on Friday night at ND's Loftus Center.

Aragon, a sophomore, just missed the school record in clocking a time of 2 minutes, 48.70 seconds. Seidel's time of 16:36.63 is the fastest by an ACC women's athlete so far this season and the 13th fastest time in the NCAA.

Jake Kildoo's third-place finish in the 5,000 (14:22.06) highlighted the men's results.
