Notre Dame baseball: Double plays help Irish
Staff reports
ND Insider
Behind three double plays, four pitchers scattering 10 hits and clutch hitting from Kyle Richardson, Notre Dame snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over Gonzaga Friday in San Antonio. In the second inning, back-to-back doubles from Richardson and senior Forrest Johnson plated one run before a pair of insurance runs in the eighth inning gave Notre Dame a 3-0 cushion. The Irish are 2-3.
