Notre Dame baseball: Irish rally, win in 11

Notre Dame scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to tie Appalachian State, then won it in the 11th, 4-3, on Zak Kutsulis’ RBI single on the final day of the USA Baseball-Irish Classic in Cary, N.C.

ND is 5-6.

In the ninth, Kutsulis had a sacrifice fly and Kyle Fiala an RBI single.

Starter Robert Youngdahl allowed three hits and two runs with four strikeouts in 5Ð innings. Lane Richards had two hits.
