Notre Dame men's golf: Irish finish seventh

With several players battling a stomach flu, the Notre Dame men’s golf team battled to a seventh-place finish at the Lamkin San Diego Classic.

Niall Platt was the top Irish individual, tying for 13th at 2-over 218.

Also contributing for the Irish were Tyler Wingo (t19, 220), Patrick Grahek (t39, 226), Blake Barens (t42, 228), Matt Rushton (t52, 231).

San Diego State’s Xander Schauffele (205) was the medalist.

Notre Dame finished with a three-day total of 890. Southern Cal won the event with an 852.
