Notre Dame men's golf: Platt 3rd for Irish
In Naples, Fla., Notre Dame finished fifth (908) in the 14-team Talis Park Challenge (Talis Park Golf Club).
Senior tri-captain Niall Platt earned his best tournament finish of the season, tying for third place overall (74-70-73-217, +1) following a final round one-over-par 73 in windy conditions Monday.
Vanderbilt won at 7-over 871 followed by Wichita State (890), Austin Peay(901), Florida Gulf Coast (902) and Notre Dame. Indiana (916) was sixth and Ball State seventh (920).
Marco Iten (Austin Peay) (1-under 215) and Vanderbilt’s Carson Jacobs tied for individual honors.
