Notre Dame tennis: ND women sweep Maryland

Notre Dame ran its win streak to three Friday with a 7-0 victory over Maryland.

A new No. 3 doubles team of freshman Mary Closs and junior Molly O'Koniewski won 8-1. Eighth-ranked sophomore Quinn Gleason and senior Britney Sanders won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles for the No. 20 Irish.

Other winners for Notre Dame were senior Jennifer Kellner, freshman Monica Robinson and sophomore Julie Vrabel. Closs sealed the victory with a singles win.

Sanders and Gleason also earned singles wins.
