A third-set tiebreaking victory allowed Notre Dame to post a 4-3 victory Friday over No. 21 Wake Forest.
Notre Dame had to win four of the six singles matches to claim the match. Sophomore Eric Schnurrenberger's match at No. 6 singles needed a tiebreaker to decide.
After trailing 3-1, Schnurrenberger battled back for a 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(4) victory.
Other winners for Notre Dame included Greg Andrews, Quentin Monaghan and Ryan Bandy at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 singles.
