Notre Dame softball: Irish bats slam Cavs

Notre Dame tallied 18 hits on its way to securing an Atlantic Coast Conference sweep over Virginia with a 15-8 win Saturday in Charlottesville, Va.
Sophomore Micaela Arizmendi tied a Notre Dame (29-9, 9-4 ACC) program record with five hits, contributing five RBIs.
Junior All-American Emilee Koerner went 3-for-3 with two doubles and four runs scored. Koerner’s four runs also tied a Notre Dame program mark.
