Notre Dame women's golf: Irish 5th in ACC

Notre Dame’s women’s team improved from seventh to a fifth-place tie on the final day of the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.
The Irish recorded the day’s third-best score with a 12-over par 296 to earn a tie for fifth with Miami. Notre Dame finished with a 33-over, 905 total (306-303-296).
Duke, ranked third nationally, won its third straight ACC crown with a 10-over 862 (291-285-286), besting second-place Virginia by 27 strokes and shooting a two-over par 286 on the final day.
Sophomore Talia Campbell was Notre Dame’s top finisher with a 10-over 223 total. She tied for 13th overall among the 55 competitors.
