Notre Dame baseball: Hurricanes handle Irish

Zack Collins went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs and No. 11 Miami scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth Monday and rally for a 6-3 win over Notre Dame in Coral Gables, Fla.

Pat Connaughton pitched into the eighth for the Irish (16-23, 4-17) and was in position for the win before faltering. He went 7ð and allowed six runs on seven hits with four walks and eight strikeouts.

Mac Hudgins drove in two runs for Notre Dame.
