Notre Dame men's lacrosse: Irish win a thriller

Conor Doyle scored with 20 seconds left to lead fifth-ranked Notre Dame to a back-and-forth 18-17 win over No. 19 Army Saturday in South Bend.
John Scioscia scored six goals and a pair of assists and Doyle finished with four goals and an assist in a game that saw eight ties and six lead changes.
Matt Kavanagh, Sergio Perkovic and Jack Near all added a pair of goals for Notre Dame (9-5).
The Irish, who claimed the ACC automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, finish the season on a three-game winning streak. The field for the NCAA tournament will be announced Sunday at 9 p.m. and first-round games will be played May 10 and 11.
