Notre Dame men's lacrosse: ACC honor for Scioscia
After tallying a career-high eight points on six goals and two assists in Saturday’s 18-17 win over Army, Notre Dame senior attackman John Scioscia was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.
The six goals tied a career-best mark for Scioscia and the eight points were one shy of matching the program record.
Scioscia has 21 goals and four assists this season. He is the second Fighting Irish player to earn ACC player-of-the-week honors. Senior Stephen O’Hara was named the league’s defensive player of the week on March 18.
Sixth-seeded Notre Dame (9-5) will host Harvard (10-6) Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Championship. Faceoff is slated for 2:30 p.m. (ET) at Arlotta Stadium. The contest can be seen on ESPNU and WatchESPN.
