Notre Dame lacrosse: Irish crush High Point

Cortney Fortunato (six points), Kaitlyn Brosco (five points) and Rachel Sexton (four goals) all scored at least a hat trick as No. 8-seeded Notre Dame beat High Point, 18-4, in the first round of the women's lacrosse NCAA Tournament Friday at Notre Dame's Arlotta Stadium.

Notre Dame (10-8) next will face ACC rival Duke (10-7) in a second round game on Sunday at noon at Arlotta.

Duke defeated Stanford, 13-8, in Friday's other first round contest at Notre Dame.
