Notre Dame softball: Irish reach ACC final

Notre Dame rallied from a 5-0 deficit, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, to beat Virginia Tech, 9-6, in the Atlantic Coast Conference softball tournament semifinal at College Park, Md., Friday.

No. 20 Notre Dame (39-10) will face No. 4 Florida State in the championship Saturday at 2 p.m. The game will be aired on ESPN2.

Karley Wester and winning pitcher Laura Winter paced the Irish with two hits each. Katey Haus had three RBIs.

The Irish scored their seven runs in the fourth on seven hits.
