Clemson pitcher Daniel Gossett improved to 7-0 with a complete game, four-hit shutout and an 8-0 victory Saturday over Notre Dame at Eck Stadium.
Gossett struck out 11 and allowed four hits with a walk in 119 pitches to lower his ERA to 1.57.
The Irish had only one extra-base hit and left five runners on. Freshman Cavan Biggio had a single and a double, while fellow freshmen Kyle Fiala and Ryan Lidge each had a single.
Clemson scored three in the third, two in the fifth and three in the eighth to account for the scoring.
