Notre Dame baseball: Brewers draft Hissa

Notre Dame relief pitcher Donnie Hissa on Saturday became the second Irish player selected in this year’s Major League Baseball draft.

The Milwaukee Brewers picked the 6-foot-7, 240-pound right-hander in the 21st round with the 626th selection overall. Hissa was 2-4 with five saves and a 2.66 earned-run average during his senior season for the Irish (22-31).

Teammate Pat Connaughton went to the Baltimore Orioles in round four on Friday.
